CONFERENCE
Please put a note in your diary, this years Emcare conference will be held on the 21st September 2010 at the Peepul Centre, Orchardson Avenue, Leicester. LE4 6DP. Details will be posted when finalised.
Last years Emcare conference held there on the 17th September 2009
The conference was well attended and well timed with an agenda that covered current topics of interest as indicated by those delegates present coming from within and outside of the Leicestershire area. Conferences like this provide the opportunity to network with other care home providers and to question speakers on policies that will affect all care homes in the coming months. This is always beneficial and particularly so this year as you can see from the items covered in this years presentations shown below. Emcare members can see the presentations again from the link button in the Members only section.
This years topics were:
Opening address from Adrian Fern – Regional Director (Leicestershire and Lincolnshire) from our main sponsors the Royal Bank of Scotland.
The Changing Face of Workforce Development, speaker Grace Woods - Regional Development Manager for Skills for Care.
Changes in Employment Legislation, speaker Kimbra Welch - Harvey Ingram Solicitors.
The Independent Safeguarding Authority & Vetting and Barring Scheme speaker Ivan Wass from the Vetting & Safeguarding Policy Unit.
